Rules & Regulations
Participants
1. Participation in the Rassette Arts Festival (RAF) is limited to members of the Rassette family either by birth or relationship, marriage to or extended relationship with a current member of the RAF qualifies one for participation in the Festival.
2. Participant exceptions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and granted by affirmative vote of the majority of current RAF participants present during a meeting when quorum is deemed to be present.
3. When appropriate, a "RAF Children" edition will be initiated.
Visual Art Submissions
1. Submissions may be interactive; however, the entire submission must be less than ten (10) minutes long.
2. A link to the piece must be included with submission; an attached photograph is acceptable.
3. All genres will be accepted for the 2012 season (e.g. photography, sculpture, print, architecture, etc.), and will continue as such until/unless Participants choose otherwise.
Film Submissions
1. Non-movie Film Submissions must be from a movie up for Best Film.
2. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. (PT) on January 1st or a later date agreed upon by all Participants.
3. More than one movie constitutes a series. If a series is nominated then a review period of two weeks is initiated upon notification to members. A single member can veto the series submission during this time period. The submitter then has 48 hours to submit a new selection. Members may still submit one film from a series and encourage members to experience the entire collection without requiring they do so.
Literature Submissions
1. Literature submissions are accepted per individual. All submissions, complete with a summary of the book, are then distributed to all Participants for Voting. Such voting shall be open at least one (1) week. The top two Submissions in terms of points will then be the official Submissions for the festival.
2. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. (PT) on January 1st or a later date agreed upon by all Participants.
3. At a maximum, book submissions are to be as close to 500 pages as possible. Book series are allowed (see #5 for additional details).
4. Any Festival member may voice concern with the validity of another's submission at which time all Festival participants will vote on how to proceed.

Music submissions
1. Music submissions consist of one song per individual RAF participant.
2. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. (PT) on January 1st or a later date agreed upon by all Participants.
Voting
1. Members will rank their top three selections within each category assigning the most points to their top choice (e.g. first choice is assigned three points, second choice is assigned two points, third choice is assigned one point). The selection with the highest number of points wins.
2. A written ballot outlining all submissions will be made available to RAF participants no more than 14 days after receipt of the final submission unless a member veto's a nomination as allowed. In that case, a written ballot outlining all submissions will be distributed to RAF participants no more than 7 days after the final submission.
3. Participants' votes will be accepted via email by 11:59 p.m. (PT) on December 24th or in person during the voting assembly. The date and time of said voting assembly will be determined based on availability of participants.
Definitions
1. Quorum is the majority of RAF participants present at a meeting.
2. Non-movie Film Submissions are film nominations not for Best Movie, such as Best Actor/Actress, Best Soundtrack, Best Director, etc.
